A beautiful colourful all over 'Boteh' design on this Southern-Persian antique Qashqai Kashkuli rug from the late 19th century.  From one of the federation of six tribes in the south of Persia in the Fars region, Kashkuli were known to be of a finer weave than that of the other tribes.  A rare ivory background on this refined piece, with no corner designs and amazing detail in weaving the Boteh's in lines of colour.

Condition report

Condition is very good, with minimal wear and no losses to the pattern at both ends.  Wonderful variation of dyes, and abrash in the yellow border dye.
