Antique Persian vase carpet dating to about 1900.
The kelleh size of approximately 5.50 m length offers a large expanse of floral designs including cypresses and vase elements, all in a fairly restricted colour scheme of dark red and white on a light blue ground, which gives the carpet an understated elegance.
This impressive carpet is in excellent condition, with original sides and ends.
All natural dyes. Wool on a cotton foundation.
