Persian Heriz carpet dating to about 1900. The eight-lobed medallion has concentric cruciform motifs in the centre. The leaf patterns of the medallion are echoed in the white-ground spandrels. The field on a warm terracotta-red ground is enclosed by a Herati main border on a dark blue ground.
