A super attractive antique Mahal carpet with a lovely open all design and woven with the rare white background, most Mahal or Sultanabad carpets where woven using richer deeper blues and reds as the main field colour. The all over pattern of vines and floral motifs is really beautiful and with natural dyes. This carpet dates from around circa 1900 with the condition being exceptional, the wool pile is excellent with a high wool pile throughout. A very decorative and easy carpet to place in a room already finished, or to build a scheme around.
We love to help customers and interior designers source the ideal carpet for a room, if this beautiful antique Mahal carpet is of interest please email us to arrange a time to view it in-situ or at our barn showroom in Crondall, Surrey call us on +44 1252 851215.
