Brilliant colours and crisply drawn design, this is a truly fabulous Heriz rug with a Karaja village design.  A rich red border and a deep indigo blue background, these classical colours work so well with the green star medallions and central latch-hook motif.  Finely woven and produced by an expert tribal weaver the condition is exceptional.  A soft medium high wool pile all over this antique rug from the northern Persia, no damage or marks.  Professionally cleaned by ourselves, a wonderful rug ready to be used for another 100 years. As this rug dates from circa 1910-1915 and has been used throughout its life.

Heriz carpets and rugs are famous for their durability and are one of the toughest antique rugs due to the good quality wool that was used. They are still extremely popular today, and can be used in an traditional home with exposed beams for example as well as a more modern home with contemporary furniture and paintings. Their warm colours and interesting designs make them an excellent compliment to many interiors.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire & the UK by appointment.
