This antique Heriz carpet is in outstanding condition all over with a great fine wool pile and woven around 1890-1900 the colours are extremely beautiful due to the age of the natural dyes.. The pile is very high on this piece and it would be a durable beautiful addition to many rooms.

Heriz carpets have always been regarded as beautiful, tough objects of decoration, made in the north-west of Persia these handwoven works of art always have variations from one piece to another. Some draw influences from further north into the Caucasus and vivid colours like this particular carpet.  A decorative yet practical carpet which has been used for over 100 years and stood the test of time.

Lovely soft pale blues in the corner spandrels with subtle muted reds and light green tones and a striking central medallion. Beautifully well drawn carpet with great detail. This carpet has been woven by expert weavers in Heriz as the design is well constructed and the central medallion has been beautifully executed.

If you would like to view this carpet in our showroom in Crondall, Surrey we would love to welcome you here. Alternatively we visit customers all over the UK showing our rugs in-situ.
