A beautiful lattice design antique Heriz carpet woven around 1900-1910 with lovely soft colours, using pale blues and greens in the main field floral motifs. Most antique Heriz carpets were woven with more geometric designs and a central medallion and elaborate corner spandrels. This carpet is softer in style and less formal.  We love antique Heriz carpets and have placed so many of this type in drawing rooms, dining rooms, studies and entrance halls over the years as they work so well in various rooms.  Their colours and designs allow them to sit happily with traditional or contemporary furniture and look especially good on wooden floors.

In excellent condition throughout, with a soft high wool pile and professionally cleaned and ready to be used on the floor.

Heriz carpets have always been regarded as beautiful, tough objects of decoration, made in the north-west of Persia these handwoven works of art always have variations from one piece to another. Some draw influences from further north into the Caucasus and vivid colours like this particular carpet.  This Heriz carpet is a decorative yet practical carpet which has been used for over 100 years and stood the test of time.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire & the UK by appointment. Please request a home visit service to view this antique carpet in your own home.
