Crisply drawn with stunning colours this antique Heriz carpet dates from circa 1900-1910 and is in excellent order.  With vibrant natural dyes, soft greens, gold tones, pale blues all combined with rich brilliant reds.  The ivory corner spandrels lift the rich colours too, the whole composition is just wonderful! The border colour goes from deep blues to almost black in places.  The condition is original and it only has minimal wear, in summary a quite striking antique carpet ideal for a drawing room, study, entrance hall or dining room, these carpets are tough as well as decorative.

Some draw influences from further north into the Caucasus and vivid colours like this particular carpet.  A decorative yet practical carpet which has been used for over 100 years and stood the test of time.
