A really stunning antique Heriz carpet woven around 1890-1900 with a rare and hard to find all over design. The vibrancy to the colours is wonderful, we have professionally washed this carpet and the colours have really cleaned up beautiful, a testament to the antique dyes.  For every 100 antique Heriz carpet's woven with a central medallion and bold corner spandrels, a few were woven with an all over pattern such as this piece.

We have a large scale border on this carpet, which is dark blue and works very well with the rich red/terracotta main field colour.  Lots of gorgeous pale blues, yellows, pinks and greens to showcase the leaves, vines, tendrils and flowers.  Antique Persian carpets were woven to bring the garden inside, this carpet embodies that idea so well.

In excellent original condition, the pile height is very good throughout. The original fringes and side selvedges are all secure too, this is ready for the floor and to be used for another 100 years.

Use our free, no obligation, home visit service to view this antique Heriz carpet in your own home. We love to travel all over the UK helping customers and interior designers source the perfect rug for a home.
