Albert Daniel Rutherston (Rothenstein) (1881-1953) Pen and Indian Ink Illustration of Iachimo from Shakespeare's 'Cymbeline'.
Signed with the initials A.R. In modern black painted wood frame.
The illustration was used on p. 24 of the edition of 'Cymbeline' published by Ernest Benn in 1923. The series was a collaboration between the artist and Harley Granville-Barker following on from their work together 11 years earlier at the Savoy Theatre, and celebrating the quatercentenary of the Shakespeare Folio edition.
