Albert Daniel Rothenstein (Rutherston) (1881-1953).
Costume Design for a Spanish Beauty.
Pen and Indian ink and watercolour, annotated for the costume maker, and with a detail of the trimming. Unframed.
I am not sure what this is for. Probably not for the theatre, but perhaps for an event such as the Chelsea Arts Club Ball. The artist was a great party goer. Circa 1910.
