Albert Daniel Rothenstein (Rutherston) (1881-1953).
Costume design for a ballerina.
Pencil, watercolour and silver paint on tracing paper, numbered 22. Unsigned. Circa 1914.
Unlike his designs for Anna Pavlova's 'Réveil de Flore', this is not drawn in ink. It is either an early project for the ballet, or one for a different production entirely. We shall probably never know.
