19th century Windsor armchair.
Arched back with honeysuckle splat , the hooped bow with fine turned arm supports and well figured elm seat over ring turned baluster turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher. Impressed makers mark NICHOLSON OF ROCKLEY. George Nicholson (fl. 1831-1841) took over the Rockley workshop started by William Wheatland around 1830. Good colour and patination.
