19th Century Rosewood Lamp Table

An attractive William IV period rosewood occasional lamp table, having superbly figured rosewood rectangular top, over one frieze drawer to frieze with replacement brass knobs. Raised on elegant silhouette type end supports united by turned and faceted cross stretcher, with four sabre legs terminating on turned feet and replacement brass castors.

This elegant table dates to the late Regency, or possibly even William IV period and features stylistic elements from both, so its safe to assume it is relatively transitional in date.

It is an excellent useful size and would be perfect alongside a settee, or armchair, with a lamp, some photo frames or any other form of household effects on it. It is also designed to stand centrally in the middle of a room, or alternatively up against a wall if required.

The top is constructed from superbly figured rosewood veneers which sets the tone for the quality throughout the rest of the piece, with a drawer that still functions perfectly and real elegance to the rest of the design.

The brass wear is later replaced, but very much in the style of the original design and sits extremely well on the piece.

As with all of our items this Rosewood Table has been attended to in the traditional manner at our workshops before being offered for sale, by our highly trained and skilled antique furniture restorers including a light clean and natural wax polish to ensure that it is in retail condition and ready to be placed immediately into the home or workplace.
