A very attractive late 19th century mahogany window seat with elegant swept x frame supports and fine fluted stretchers with carved decoration throughout.

Raised on delightful carved hairy paw feet with original brass castors.

This elegant victorian stool is very much made in the Regency style with the X framed support type design typically seen around this period. It is also a design that was influenced by French 18th century design.

Overall the quality is good and the carving has great depth to it, particularly the elegant hairy paw feet.

The item is in good condition, strong and fit for original purpose and would look very beautiful in a window, at the end of a bed or somewhere else in a bedroom, or even just in a hallway.

Circa 1880.
