A Very Good Quality Regency Period Mahogany Serving
Table Having Well Figured Breakfront Top Over One Long
Frieze Drawer With Original Brass Lions Mask Handles And
Panelled Decoration Raised On Incredibly Elegant Turned
Tapering Legs Headed By Reeded Carving

(Serving tables, as the name suggests, were originally
purposed for use in a dining room alongside a more traditional
sideboard. They would normally have been adorned with grand
candelabra or similar, leaving enough space for items to be placed
on the table and used to serve from. Nowadays of course they are
great fro not just their original purpose, but also can be used as
a console table, or pier table, in any room of the house. This
particular example is exceptionally elegant, incredibly functional,
in great condition and even has the added bonus of a big drawer
for storage, which many serving tables do not have.)
