A good quality mid 19th century Quartetto Nest of four Coffee Tables.

Having well figured oblong tops raised on elegant turned upright supports, united by cross stretchers on elegant scrolling feet.

Nests of coffee tables were made throughout the 19th century and beyond. By far the most common antique nests that are found nowadays are late 19th/early 20th century examples.

The examples made earlier in the 19th century are rarer, and very often normally of superior quality, therefore making them much more sought after.

These are a very good quality example, incorporating well figured mahogany that has retained a good colour.

The versatility which is offered with the variation in sizes is of course extremely useful and these tables are incredibly functional.

Circa 1850.

Height - 28.5in.
Width - 22in.
Depth - 14in.
