An attractive mid 19th century painted lime wood Wall Bracket with profuse carved decoration including central gargoyle, c-scrolls, ribbons and acanthus leaves.

This rather interesting wall bracket was quite possibly originally gilded, however quite some time ago the gilding has been removed and replaced with paint.

The carved decoration is well executed and although difficult to pinpoint exactly where it has almost certainly originated from somewhere in Europe around the middle of the 18th Century.

The overall condition is good, solid and functional with various minor historic small losses to the carved decoration.

Circa 1860.

Height - 21in.
Width - 33in.
