19th Century Display Cabinet on Stand.
Rare William IV period birds eye maple & purple heart Gothic display cabinet of exhibition quality.
The moulded cornice above a single glazed cabinet door with carved arched decoration and cluster columns. The cabinet is glazed and decorated on all three sides and opens to reveal two fixed shelves.
The gothic arches and cluster columns are made in the solid with crisply carved purple heart mouldings to the top and bottom of the glazed door.
The door has an almost secret lock and key that operates on the side with a pin and push mechanism. The door opens 180 degrees onto an original mirrored back and shelved interior.
The glazed top section sits on a well-figured birds eye maple veneered crossbanded base above an arcaded frieze that is intricately inlaid with purple heart and trefoil decoration above an inverted concave two tier plinth base with purple heart lined inlays and carved leaf decorated cluster columns.
