19th Century Burr Oak Centre Table.

An Exceptionally Fine Quality 19th Century, William IV Period, Circular Centre Table, Having Superbly Figured Segmented Veneer Tilting Top, Raised On Revere Tapered Faceted Column With Lotus Carved Decoration To Bottom, Over Circular Platform Base With Three Attractive Carved Paw Feet With Original Recessed Castors.

A quite spectacular and rarely found table which boasts some of the most beautifully figured veneers which we have ever come across. Originating from the late regency, or William IV period, it is clear this table has never been stripped or refinished as it retains the most exceptional untouched, rich, colour and patina.

It is also very sturdy, due to the quality of the timber used throughout and the overall construction. In fact it is surprising just how heavy it is when picking it up and moving it, which once again demonstrates the fantastic overall quality.

Perfect for a wide variety of different spaces around the home, or possibly even in a hotel lobby, this table has clearly been loved and cherished throughout its life, whilst also being very much functional and well used, which is a fact we don't expect to change any time in the future.

As with all items which we offer for sale this centre table has been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained, traditional antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being offered for sale. This has ensured it is in excellent condition.
