19th century brass mounted mahogany gun case.

Bearing maker's label: John Dickson and Son, Gun and Rifle Manufacturers, 63 Princes Street, Edinburgh. The interior is fitted and baize-lined.

The accompanying leather travelling case with brass plaque engraved: G. Fortune.

Attached labels for Midland Railway Dalbeattie, Glasgow and South Western Railway, London St. Pancras, plus a paper luggage label inscribed: Morriss, Bengairn, Castle Douglas, Scotland.

Leather travelling case: L. 34" (87cm) W. 10.5" (27cm) D. 3.5" (9cm).
