A Very Good Quality Late 19th Century Mahogany Revolving
Open Bookcase Having Well Figured And Inlaid Square Top
Over Sections With Slatted Divisions Raised On Original
Metal Frame And Castors
(There are many different designs of this type of bookcase
found that were made towards the end of 19th century of
varying qualities. Generally those with inlaid decoration and
metal support bases are regarded as the best quality which this
item has. The metal base is quite a key feature as it helps to
balance the weight of the piece when full of heavy books. There
are many spaces that this would fit into with it being similar in
proportion to many occasional tables and the divisions are the
perfect size for cd's, dvd's or of course books!)
