An early 19th century Achromatic Refracting Table Telescope with a slightly tapering brass tube by "W&S Jones, 30 Holborn, London".
Standing on an original brass tripod with steadying arms and a mahogany case with a number of eye pieces. For a near identical example see Number 12 in the Science Museum Booklet 1971. In good original condition throughout, retaining the trade label and with a hand written instruction leaflet possibly.
