English George I period walnut side chair. Stamped WI on the back seat rail. Having a bell shaped drop in seat, carved cabriole front legs with a carved shell motif on the knees and raised on a ball and claw foot. The central vase shaped back splat is veneered in burr and figured walnut. Back height 96cm. Seat width 53cm. English circa 1727.
