Late 18th Century Turkish Chest.
A fine mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell ground inlaid chest of rectangular form raised on short legs with a hinged coffered lid. The sides, front and back are covered in inlaid panels of triangular geometric and rectangular shapes with beautiful foliate panels of mother-of-pearl, all laid onto a red and blonde tortoiseshell. The interior has been removed recently and relined.
