18th Century Satinwood and Crossbanded Table.
A George III West Indian satinwood and polychrome panelled table inlaid with purpleheart and decorated with flowers.
The highly figured top is triple crossbanded with boxwood, brown ebony, satinwood and faded rosewood. The tilt-top table retains the original brass catch and sits on the original saddle with fine crossbanded edges.
The satinwood column with a turned and painted balustrade and ring turnings sits above a purpleheart and satinwood faceted and tapered column, raised on a floral painted circular collar.
The table stands on matching purpleheart inlaid and satinwood legs.
The table is of high quality and made in London. A fine piece of 18th century English furniture.
