A superb pair of 18th century Italian giltwood Wall Mirrors, having pierced frames with deeply carved foliate and scrolling decoration enclosing replacement rectangular mirror plates.

Florentine design generally refers to a style of furniture and mirrors which were coming out of Florence in the 18th century and then again in the late 19th century.

It nearly always featured heavy, rich carved gilt wood decoration. These are exceptionally carved and a great useful size.

The depth and quality of the hand carved frames is quite exquisite and although there are various old repairs and breaks as would be expected on items that are this delicate but this old, there is no significant damage to speak of which would devalue the mirrors.

They really do have an exceptional elegance to them and would add a talking point and touch of class to almost any room of the house.
