18th Century Oval Mirror.
A carved giltwood George III mirror in the manner of John Linnell.
The 18th century mirror is crisply carved throughout and is almost certainly from a London workshop.
The carved leaf to the top is surmounted on a cluster of stiff leaf decoration above 'C' scrolls and other supports.
The mirror plate is 18th century and probably the original.
The outer foliage is finely drawn and carved and borders the carved and moulded frame. The apron is centralised with a rosette and inverted 'C' scrolls and flanked on the shoulders with more supporting scrolls.
