An 18th century, circa 1780, lead corner cistern of triangular form, having parterre shaped decorative border enclosing the initials B S. These initials would relate to the owner or sometimes cisterns were given as wedding gifts. The triangular form here is original with an indent to the back which would have accommodated a down pipe of some sort.
