An 18th Century Irish wrought iron rushnip and candleholder.
With writhen shaft on trifom base with circular foot. It is interesting to note that the smith has re-used the circular base from another rushnip, where the attachments of the former trifom base are evident.
Provenance: The Rectory at Portumna. Edward E Evans (died 1933), resided as Provost of Kilmacduagh and Canon of Clonfert, Galway. Thence by decent.
