An exceptionally good quality and charming late 18th century Georgian mahogany pair of side cabinets of rare diminutive proportions. Having superbly figured D shaped tops with inlaid and crossbanded decoration to edges. Over upholstered panel doors with original brass X cross grilles enclosing shelves, raised on elegant original turned feet.

It is really extremely rare to find Georgian side cabinets, or cupboards of this sweet, small size and even rarer to find a pair of them, with the added bonus of them being in good condition. More often than not those that started in a pair have been split up at some point throughout the years, never to be reunited again.

The flamed mahogany timber which has been selected and used for the tops of these fabulous little cupboards really does some up the exceptional overall quality and construction of these items. They simply ooze elegance, sophistication and of course function.

From a practical perspective it is also worth noting that despite the green upholstery to the door panels being relatively recently replaced, it is very easy and inexpensive to have this changed again for a fabric covering of the owners choice, as the panels just pop out when required.

As with all of the which we offer for sale these fabulous Georgian Side Cabinets have been attended to in the traditional manner at our workshops before being offered for sale, by our highly trained and skilled antique furniture restorers including a light clean and natural wax polish to ensure that they are in retail condition and ready to be placed immediately into the home or workplace.
