18th Century Dutch Walnut Commode.

A good quality late 18th century Dutch three drawer commode in veneered walnut with cross-banded top and ebony and box wood stringing; attractive front and sides with dentil frieze, pilasters on the canted corners, orginal round handles and escutcheons still with their gilded finish, stepped base mould, spade feet and unusual greek key neo-classical designs in the corners of the drawers. The carcase and drawer linings in oak; generally in good original condition just some small cosmetic repairs, 2 old locks, 1 missing.
