17th Century Small Skillet
A small, finely cast brass skillet in excellent condition standing high on three legs.
Stamped with the maker's mark RB within a shield.
English, 17th century.
Note: Roderick Butler in his 2001 study exhibition of marked domestic brass, item 156, illustrates an all brass skimmer with this same mark. Roderick further notes a latten seal-top spoon with the same mark which is datd to early in the 17th century.
