A stunning late 17th century oak farmhouse refectory table with a cleated end three plank top, lunette carved rails to three sides and square section chmfered edge legs and just end stretchers. The top is lift off and has excellent overhang and with no long stretchers, the table is very practical and easy to sit at. The rails have the inventory brand I M C. Superb colour and patination. See Richard Bebb "Welsh Furniture Vol I pages 280 and 281 for similar examples.
