This 17th century historical Tapestry depicts Alexander the Great mounted on his white stallion ready for battle while trampling on the central figure and flanked by war elephants to his left.  There are soldiers doing battle on the riverbanks beyond in a rural scene overlooked by a hilltop fortification in the distance.  This scene is bordered with ribbons, floral motifs and cherubs with a central cartouche on the top and sides.
