Richard Courtney recieves the BADA distinguished service award from BADA President Victoria Borwick

BADA are delighted to announce that Richard Courtney has been awarded the BADA distinguished service medal.

A specialist in 18th century English furniture, Richard established Richard Courtney Ltd in 1966 on London’s Fulham Road and was elected to BADA membership the following year.

Richard has played an influential role at BADA for over 40 years, first as a member of the BADA Council and later as the Association’s Vice President, as well as being a long-standing member of the BADA Fair committee.

He was presented with the distinguished service medal by BADA Chairman Michael Cohen at BADA’s AGM in December. 

BADA President Victoria Borwick said: “The distinguished service medal is the highest honour that BADA awards and is a fitting recognition of Richard’s long service and remarkable contribution
to the fine art and antiques trade.
