The BADA Cultural & Educational Trust Bursary

The BADA Cultural & Educational Trust’s Bursary recipient at West Dean College recently completed her course in Ceramics Conservation.

During her time at the College Andriani Maimaridou has worked on various projects including conserving an object for the David Livingstone Birthplace Museum, working at a commercial ceramics conservation studio. Most challenging of all was putting together a highly fragmented late Iron Age ceramic burial vessel for display at The Novium Museum in Chichester.

This is what Andriani said about her bursary:

“The funding provided by the British Antique Dealers’ Association was a valuable contribution that enabled me to pursue a Masters’ degree in Conservation Studies.  Overall, I am pleased with the learning outcomes and the bursary has evidently helped in achieving my goals and advancing my ceramics conservation career.”
