Thicket Priory - a chance for the BADA Friends to get together

Thorganby, York YO19 6DE

Monday 13th September at 2.30pm

Complimentary visit for the BADA Friends and their guests

Thicket Priory is now a wedding venue but was formerly a Carmelite monastery.  Even though most of the original contents have been sold the house has recently received a wonderful portrait via our Northern Ambassador, Darrell Buttery, which was part of the original furnishings.  The current owner, Mr Bruce Corrie, has invited the Friends to come along and see the painting and it will be a time to get together and enjoy tea and cake in these wonderful surroundings.  It is only 15 minutes from York by car so why not make a day of it and visit York Art Gallery, Fairfax House or York Minster and then come on to Thicket Priory. This will be an informal and relaxed afternoon and it is not a visit to a country house in the normal sense.  There is a limit on numbers and any Covid-19 restrictions regarding facemasks etc will still be in place depending on Government guidelines.

Tickets are limited to 30 so if you are interested in attending then please email Friends Director Anne Green at [email protected] or call 020 7581 5259
