"I will be using figural groups from my inventory to discuss and demonstrate how Meissen used these themes in the eighteenth century, including this complex satirical group made in two parts and entitled 'The Lover Discovered', modelled by none other than J.J. Kaendler in 1771.
"I will also be unveiling a new discovery from the late nineteenth century."
To mark the event and BADA Week, a selection of eighteenth century works from Meissen will form an unusual window display at 10 Cecil Court.
Spaces for the talk are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis. Further details can be found at www.serhatahmet.com or by contacting Serhat. The talk will begin at 18:30.
This event will take place on 13th October 2021.
