Stanley Picker House

Due to popularity of this visit last year I thought it was well worthwhile organising another tour of this extraordinary house.

Stanley Picker was a patron of the arts who formed a very individual collection of 20th-centruy sculptures and paintings and also lived in a wonderful modern house designed for his collection by Kenneth Wood.

He was born in New York in 1913 and died in England in 1982.  The house is designed for its location on the side of a hill, is split level and remains today a time capsule of the 1960’s.

It was very much a home where Picker could live and enjoy entertaining.

The house is only open by appointment to selected groups. If you have not visited then this is an opportunity to do so, you will not be disappointed.
