Imperial gold and gem-set brooch by Carl Fabergé

For BADA Week 2023 Wartski have chosen to feature this magnificent Imperial gold and gem-set brooch by the Russian master jeweller Carl Fabergé.


The brooch is centred with a rectangular cut amethyst within an oyster white guilloché enamel border and decorated with symmetrical foliate motifs set with rose cut diamonds.

Purchased by the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna on 14th July, 1909 for 150 roubles.
