Bernard Kay, The Paris Sketch Books 1953-55
The Canon Gallery, Oundle
September 10 - October 09, 2022.
In 1954 Bernard Kay went to study in Paris at the Academie Ranson under Johnny Friedlander. There he developed his work as an abstract Expressionist. The watercolours in this exhibition were all painted between 1954-1955 and are in two sketch books sold at the Studio contents sale after his death. There are 49 watercolours/drawings in the exhibition, a mixture of Abstract, figurative and landscapes of Paris.
The works are priced separately but the two sketch books could be bought altogether for a price. All the works are therefore unframed, they can be purchased as is or we can frame them individually if needed.
