BADA 2019: Modern Decorative Art & Furniture

A private tour and talk with Vanessa Curry at BADA Fair 2019.

A new aesthetic was born in the 1840s; starting as a reaction to the Industrial Revolution, the design and art world responded to the changes that were happening in the British landscape and to the influence of design from Asia.

This walking tour will look at the evolution of Modernism via Impressionist painting, the influence of the Machine Age on furniture and visual art and the evolution of Art/Deco Bauhaus sleek.

Based in New York, Vanessa Curry of Fine Art Source is a specialist art advisor who helps new and established collectors, private individuals and interior architects on the direction of their collections.

Her scope further extends to working with family offices and on valuation probates and reinsurance projects.  Furthermore, she has been awarded Outstanding in Field by SPEARS 500 and has recently been appointed as an Arts Advisor to the Denise Coates Foundation working on arts philanthropy.
