Wimpole Antiques was established 40 years ago. The business is based in central London, and is run by Lynn Lindsay who comes from a background in fine art and design.

Having been a textile and wallpaper designer, the move to dealing in decorative antiques and subsequently jewellery was a natural progression for Lynn.

Stock

Situated at Grays Antique Centre in Mayfair, Wimpole Antiques has an eclectic stock of wearable jewellery from 1790 to the 1970s.

Well made pieces of good quality and design are important, with the varied use of interesting and unusual gemstones.

Lynn's colleague Susan is a qualified gemmologist and member of the Goldsmiths’ Company.

Wimpole Antiques is always searching for exciting pieces, which often reflect a socio-economic factor in manufacturing.

They supply the international trade and have a large and diverse retail customer base.

They pride themselves on providing good service and aftercare undertaken by fine craftsmen.

Fairs and Online

Wimpole Antiques has exhibited at the Olympia Fairs for 30 years.

They also exhibit at the BADA and LAPADA fairs, and at major provincial fairs during this time.

In the past they have also exhibited in the USA at Chicago and Miami fairs.

Lynn Lindsay has served on vetting committees of Olympia, LAPADA and the NEC exhibitions.

They offer items online via several sites including Grays Antiques, 1st Dibs and their own site.
