Richard Price has been cataloguing, studying, buying and selling antique clocks for more than 35 years.
Richard stocks all types of clocks, most notably fine French Louis XVI and Empire examples.
He also concentrates on the more unusual clocks, automata and related items. In addition, his stock also includes English bracket, longcase and wall clocks.
Experience
In 1975 Richard started the antique clock and watch department at Bonhams in London, where he was responsible for the valuation and cataloguing of all their clocks.
After a successful career there, he left the saleroom in 1992 to start his own business buying and selling antique clocks.
With over 30 years experience in the trade, Richard also undertakes all valuation work and his business handles all types of restoration.
Antiques Roadshow
As a respected horologist, Richard Price has been one of the specialists on the BBC's successful “Antiques Roadshow” television programme for the last 28 years.
Richard exhibits regularly at major London antique fairs, including BADA, Petworth and the Mayfair Antiques Fair.
He lectures on horology, and is also currently acts as a consultant to the clock and watch department at Wooley and Wallis in Salisbury.
