R Talwar Compliance (www.rtalwar.com) is an independent compliance consultancy specialising in advising art dealers, auction houses and other service companies within the art and luxury sectors.  It’s founder, Rakhi Talwar, was the Global Head of Compliance at Christie’s for seven years and prior to that, led compliance for the International Currency Card business of American Express. Rakhi also practiced for many years as a regulatory lawyer at the international law firm, DLA Piper.

Rakhi offers a full range of compliance services and for the past two years, has advised a large number of UK art market participants on setting up anti-money laundering compliance programmes to meet the requirements of the UK Money Laundering Regulations.  She is known for providing straight answers and practical solutions and is always happy to have a no-obligation conversation with members of BADA.
