About

Corfield Potashnick

Corfield Potashnick are Simon Potashnick and Jonathan Corfield Fry, who started in the restoration of period furniture and cabinet making in 1980.

For nearly 30 years they have been dealing in antiques, specialising in 18th and 19th Century British furniture.

Whether selling to the trade or to private clients, they are dedicated to providing the best personal service.

Restoration

All aspects of period furniture repair and restoration are undertaken in their own workshops, by highly skilled craftsmen with many years experience.

Traditional wood finishing carried out, including hard oil, wax and hand French polishing to the highest standard.

All types of cabinet work and restoration, re -veneering and missing mouldings made from period matching timber. Missing brassware matched or cast and coloured to match.

Shotgun and rifle stocks re- finished, grain enhanced. Stock extensions coloured and grained to match existing. Damaged stocks and fore-ends repaired.

Premises & Fairs

They no longer have a retail showroom and are internet based, operating from a South London store. The firm will be exhibiting at selected shows in the near future.

Corfield Potashnick are happy to undertake restoration from trade as well as private clients, including insurance work in our own workshops.
