The latest stage of BADA’s transformation strategy was implemented this week with the appointment of Martin Weller as the Association’s first Communication Manager.

This newly created role is the latest addition to BADA’s new look executive team, following the appointments of Marco Forgione, as BADA’s first CEO, and Madeleine Williams as BADA Fair Manager, as the association looks forward to its centenary celebrations in 2018.

Weller is a media and public relations professional with experience of developing communications strategies, creating innovative content and delivering audience growth. He joins BADA following eight years in the Sports and Leisure industry and also has a background in TV production.

Commenting on Weller’s appointment, BADA CEO Marco Forgione said: “The appointment of Martin as our Communication Manager is integral to support our members in meeting communication challenges, exploiting the tremendous opportunities offered by digital and social media and helping lead the art and antique industry for the future.”

“Martin has extensive experience in the communication industry, with a track record of success particularly in the fields of digital marketing and generating audience growth. He will be a valuable addition to the team as we look forward to our centenary in 2018.”

Martin Weller, BADA Communication Manager, said: “With the centenary approaching in 2018 and a new executive team in place, this is a really exciting time to be joining BADA.”

“There is tremendous scope for the association to further engage with our members and to promote their work and the association itself to a wider audience. It’s a challenge that I am really looking forward to.”
