Description / Expertise
Sylvia Plath, the poet, is most well known for her first volume of poetry, Ariel and her semi-autobiography The Bell Jar.
She married Ted Hughes in June 1956 and on her honeymoon she drew and sketched. On August 28th 1956 she wrote to her grandmother, Auriel Plath, about these drawings: I fell I'm developing a kind of primitive style of my own which I am very fond of. Wait till you see them.
