Description / Expertise

A fine and rare Regency period specimen marble tea caddy of rectangular form, inlaid with crossbanded borders surrounding geometric panels of Sicilian Jasper, agate, granite, porphyry and various other specimens. The original interior with twin compartments, the back veneered with a figured mahogany panel and crossbanded in Macassar ebony, on original ebony bun feet.

Condition

Very fine condition, later brass ring handles.
